Times Gifts...

So the house is decorated: Christmas tree, lights, bows, trim, and candy canes galore...but there aren't any presents under the tree! That's what I call recession!! LOL jk!! But the parents are running low on cash and are only getting the kiddos a few gifts, all I asked for was MONEY! I'm soooooo B R O K E, I haven't been anywhere since I came back from break as a way to not spend money!  I also don't have money to give everybody presents so I feel bad (grimy. cheap, inconsiderate...the list goes on.) Last year I had very little money, but I made these great homemade gifts you should check out!!

 Tile Picture! :D---->For the Rents

Me and the little Sibs, we're cute huh?

This only cost 3 dollars (+ a lot of ink, because I messed up a lot from rushing! Patience is a virtue :D)
It was a really easy project and took about 2 days including drying time.(only disappointment was my little brother's arm looks like the hulk on the left side hahahhahaha)  My parents loved it and it looks really nice in the living room, I'm thinking about getting a frame for it later on this year!

You can find the directions here:

Both extremely easy and pretty cheap:
I got my candle from the Dollar store, my wick from Walmart, and my teacup from Goodwill= $4

For the rice bag I just used fabric scraps , a bag of rice from walmart ,  and a zipper from this huge box of zippers my Great Aunt gave me = $1

Mama  loved them and still uses both of them till this day :D

Antique Paper Scripture Frames--->For Daddy

These turned out great and Daddy loved them! :D

Gift baskets--->for the Siblings (Sorry didn't take pictures)

 Toy Baskets for the kids:

Just got some fun things from the dollar store, some of their favorite gum, and some candy canes =$6 each

A movie Basket for the teenager:

A 5 dollar Blockbuster gift card + Popcorn bucket from Dollar store, some homemade Redhots Popcorn, candy, and soda = $10

Try some of these ideas when your low on cash or would rather not shop around.
I had a lot of fun making these gifts and gave a lot more of my time then money which made the gifts  love valuable! :DD

 Back to Reality:

My bank account has about 5 dollars in it this year so to stop this assault of bad feelings I have decided to give everyone a personal letter and coupons of service. I always say I want to be more considerate and giving to my family so why not give them the power to make me! The coupons will have things like mow the lawn for daddy, play dolls for my little sister, and help me garden for my mama. To make them a true value I'll give them three coupons for a weekly event, and two coupons for a monthly event! Pray they dont misuse their coupons against me and that I have a serving spirit when serving them! ;)

If a person gives you his time, he can give you no more precious gift.

You don't always have to give gifts through money especially if your broke and in college like me! Time is a extremely valuable gift, that's why some people get payed for doing nothing (argh), and serving someone brings as much joy to someone's heart as their dream gift! :D

Apples to Pears, Apples to Bannas, Apples to Apples...

So, I'm on Christmas break at home with no job, no true friends (they seemed to have forgotten me in their desperate want of money a.k.a: a job), and no liscense (don't judge me)! My life feels like the pits of hell, but have no fear I'm surrounded by my parent's extensive supply of Christian books, My Mac Baby, my phone, and a sagacious mind so I shall conquer my boredom...Somehow??

My Options:
1)Read my life away the books are not that bad...seriously!!
2)Facebook,Twitter,Tumblr, and raping the Stumble button on Firefox ;D
3)Playing dolls and watching T.V with  4 and 6 year olds... NEGATIVE
4) Learning something, preparing for my future aka Daydreaming about my future, and teaching yall a lil sumin sumin....

Welp, option 4 sounds good to me (voice of Tantor the elephant in Tarzan)

Over these last few days I have learned Gods plan for sexual and emotional fulfillment by reading (drums please) Every Woman's Battle by Shannon Ethridge!!

Ok, yea I am only 19-years-old and I'm no where near marriage but let me tell ya a good chunk of this book applied to me and seriously made me evaluate myself as a Woman in this crazy world!!

One part that particular stuck out to me was when Ethridge talked about how women view other women and compare each other. Yep I'm about to speak the truth and hopefully make you a little wiser!!

Women compare each other in so many ways:

Skinny to fat

Situation: Shopping Joys and Agonies!!
I'm at the store checking out clothing when I see this Big (Voluminous, Hefty, THICK..you choose) chick walking by and inwardly pray "Lord, thank you from the bottom of my heart" and waltz around the store with a lil pep in my step. Fronting and stunting... you know the deal! Then a flash of fashion , skinniness, and muscle walk by and my entire ego oozes to the floor. I decide not to tell the Lord a thing, but I suck my stomach in a little tighter , deduce my height to a more midget size and decide I'm not buying clothes till I drop this weight!

Ugly to Pretty
She slick scared the mess outta me ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Situation: Pretty Girl Rock
This song irks me,she has the biggest ego!! *eyerollsofffaceofearth*

Some pretty girl goes around singing this song at the top of her lungs

Not so pretty girl throws rocks at her face screaming "Yea, catch this ROCK!!"

(SMH) lol

Good to Bad

 Situation: Typical Church Day

"Why is that tatted defiled woman in the church?"
"Why is that no- makeup- from- the -1800's chick eying me and my swag?"

God: "What are those judgmental sinners doing in my church?".... heheheheh

 Smart to Dumb:

Situation:Getting Graded

"Yo what you get on the test?"
"98% (big grin)"
"What you think you better than me now, huh?"
"Uhhhh... (no grin)"....(dang I just got graded, *sigh*)

......Plenty more situations and comparisons, but I'm getting lazy so lets get to the point!!!!!!!!

Women and young girls of this world you must learn to stop comparing each other and start loving each other. Yea, I know you have heard it before, but you shall hear it again because this is my experience. I walk around my campus, mall, street and compare myself to other girls and even my friends. I think I'm better then somebody because I'm slightly smaller than the other chick,  I can get  the scripture the preacher ask us to turn to before olgirl, and my grades surpass most girls in my class. Then I think I'm the fattest girl in the world when I see a skinny girl in a cute outfit(with long hair lol), think I'm the ugliest person ever when all my friends get asked to dance but me, and too good because the bad girl gets the cute guy's sparkling smile!  I end up being overly proud of my assets, then cursing God for my failings. This has become an endless cycle of emotional turmoil for me and I was completely oblivious to it... Why??...I was comparing things that should never be compared!
What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.  ~  Ralph Waldo Emerson

There will always be someone cuter, smarter, Godlier, but their will never be another ME or YOU. So be happy with what you have. You can rock your assets, but remember no one has ever been mad at someone for having inner beauty (Except for haters... tell them to keep it moving). So rock Patience, kindness, selflessness, grace, love, endurance, gentleness and shock some people because not to many girls have those characteristics. Love on other women, instead of envying them (everybody needs a friend) and throw them a compliment to boost their self esteem (everybody needs a compliment.) Us women need to do some self-evaluation of our comparison to truly understand why we are so emotionally strung!! Try not to compare yourself for a week and follow some of my tips and I promise life will become a lot happier and a lot more satisfying!

Hello World

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.
